As the name says, this thread is dedicated to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics from IDW.
Now, what do I think of this series? It's awesome! It takes stuff from different versions of the franchise, like some characters from the 80's cartoon and the tone of Eastman and Laird's stories from the original Mirage Studios comics, and adds some stuff of its own as well. In my opinion, it does a fantastic job at it, at least, out of what I've read of it. Having franchise co-creator Kevin Eastman on staff definitely helps, of course. I primarily keep up with the paperbacks, since I jumped on a tad late.
IDW also makes comics based on the current 2012 cartoon, though I've yet to read those, so I can't speak for them. They're even reprinting many of the older comics from other publishers, including the Mirage, Archie and Dreamwave comics (or at least, the Dreamwave stuff is on Comixology). However, any extensive discussion of the reprints may be best for another thread, since this is for IDW's own TMNT comics.
So what do you think of their handling of the TMNT franchise? Good? Bad? Indifferent? Discuss it here!
